Barbara Varassi Pega, piano
Piano degree in the “Instituto Provincial del
Profesorado de Musica” (IPPM), Argentina. She
has specialized in Argentinian Tango with Maestro J.
Martinez Lo Re. She has been part of the “Orquesta
Juvenil de Tango del IPPM”; the “Orquesta
de la Universidad de Rosario”; the International
Company “Buenos Aires Tango”, the orchestra
“Estilo Tango”, trio “Tango del Callejon”,
quintet “La Mano”, giving concerts in Italy,
Germany, France, Spain and Switzerland. She has directed
the ensemble “Baruyo” as pianist and arranger.
In the year 2000 she won a scholarship for further piano
studies in the Milan Conservatory, Italy, where she
obtained piano degree in 2003. Also in Italy she created
the “Quinteto de Tango Invisible”. |

Gerardo Agnese, bandoneon
University degree in bandoneon in the Rosario Music
University, Argentina; studying with prestigious Maestro
Domingo Federico. He has also studied with Maestro Rodolfo
“Cholo” Montironi, one of the most virtuoso
bandoneon players in Argentina and took musical arrengement
and orchestration classes with Maestro J.M. Lo Re and
Rodolfo Mederos. He has been part of the “Orquesta
Juvenil de Tango del IPPM”; the “Orquesta
de Tango de la Universidad de Rosario”; the quartet
“Filidoro’s Wake”( contemporary tango),
being its bandoneonist, arranger and composer; trio
“Tango del Callejon”; “Quinteto Camandulaje”
and “Trio de Tango Arrebatado”. |

Virgilio Monti, double-bass
Double-bass degree in the “Conservatorio di Musica
“Giuseppe Verdi”, Milan, Italy, with Maestro
Cosmo. He has participated in several specialization
and interpretation courses, one of them with Maestro
A. Boccini. He has colaborated in different chamber
music ensembles, such as “L’ Ensamble Amadeus”
and “L’Orchestra Gomez” and symphony
orchestras such as “L’Orchestra Europea”,
“L’Orchestra del Conservatorio G. Verdi”
and “L’Orchestra dell’Università
Statale di Milano”. Apart from classical music,
he also works with other styles, including popular and
light music. He has participated in many festivals and
musical seasons. He is part of “Quinteto de Tango
Invisible” and the orchestra “Estilo Tango”.
He has also studied “Musicotherapy” at Lecco
School, Italy. |
