TANGO TINTO is a traditional quartet specialized in Argentinian Tango. It is composed by Gerardo Agnese (bandoneón), Bárbara Varassi Pega (piano), Virgilio Monti (double-bass) and Vincenzo Albini (violin), with Rubén Peloni (voice). Since years in the European scène, the ensemble stands out for a solid experience in the genre and a strong group energy, which make their main qualities. The repertoire embraces the different periods of this popular music, since it’s begining “Guardia Vieja” to contemporary times, including pieces of the most important composers (Pugliese, Troilo, Arolas, Plaza, D’Arienzo, Canaro, De Caro, Piazzolla and others) and offering them with a personal and original style in “milongas”, concert-rooms, café-concerts, festivals and theatres. “TangoTinto” has frequently played in Argentina and Europe being always well received by critics and public. In june 2004 they presented their first CD during the “Festival Latinoamericando” in Milan, Italy. In 2007 they presented their second CD "Éxtasis" and they are now working in a new one to be presented in 2010.

TANGO TINTO ist ein Ensemble hochkarätiger Musiker aus Argentinien und Europa. Barbara Varassi Pega,klavier,  Gerardo Agnese, bandoneon, Virgilio Monti (kontrabass), Vincenzo Albini, geige und Ruben Peloni, gesang.

Mit jahrelanger Erfahrung in der internationalen Tangoszene besticht Tango Tinto durch seine Authenzität im Stil und das virtuose Zusammenspiel der Musiker. Die Gruppe tritt sowohl mit einem Konzertprogramm auf, als auch mit einer Show aus Musik, Tanz und Videos oder mit einem Repertoir für Milongas (Tangotanzabende). Die Musik von Tango Tinto umfasst die unterschiedlichen Perioden dieser urbanen Musik, von der Alten Schule bishin zur zeitgenössischen Interpretation und spielt Tangos von bekannten Komponisten wie Pugliese, Troilo, Di Sarli, Gardel, Arolas, De Caro und Piazzolla in eigenen Arrangements.

Seit seiner Gründung hat Tango Tinto zahlreiche Konzerte in Argentinien und Europa gespielt und wurde von Publikum und Kritik gefeiert.

Sie veröffentlichten 2004 ihre erste CD unter dem Namen "Tango Tinto" und 2007 ihre zweite mit zahlreichen Gästen unter dem Namen "Éxtasis".
