Tango Tinto
“Tango Tinto” is a musical group specialized
in Argentinian Tango. It is composed by Gerardo
Agnese (bandoneon), Bárbara Varassi
Pega (piano), Virgilio Monti (double-bass)
and Dolores Espeja (voice).
The repertoire embraces the different periods of this popular
music, since the begining “Guardia Vieja” to contemporary
times, including pieces of the most important composers (Pugliese,
Troilo, Arolas, Plaza, D’Arienzo, Canaro, De Caro, Piazzolla
and others) and offering them with a personal and caracteristicstyle
in “milongas”, concert-rooms, cafe concerts, festivals
and theatres.
“TangoTinto” has frequently played in Argentina
and europe (Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany, France, England)
being always well recieved by critics and pubblic. In june
2004 they presented their first CD during the “Festival
Latinoamericando” in Milan, Italy.
In order to offer other proposals, the ensemble
frequently works with a larger number of artists: dance
couples, male and female singers, one or more violins,
viola, violoncello, guitar, creating different combinations
so as to fit every kind of performance.
